A: To bring the seat toward you, you can pull up on the stroller seat to your preferred height. To adjust the seat down, you will need to push both buttons on either side of the seat and slowly release down to the lower position. If the seat is occupied while adjusting the seat down, carefully hold the seat and lower it; do not let go, or it may jostle the occupant.
A: Your child can be in the seat while the height is adjusted. The difficulty of this will depend on the weight of your child.
A: No. Rue has been crash-tested with either LATCH or the vehicle seat belt, not both. Using both methods will not enhance the safety of the seat in the event of a crash and could actually prevent the seat from working properly.
A: Currently, mint latch™ does not have a matching base, but installs with mint latch™ are so easy, you do not need one! Rotate the integrated LATCH connectors to the appropriate angle (so the level line is even with the ground), line up the connectors with your vehicle's anchor points, and click in! Both indicators will turn green when they're properly connected. You can also use the vehicle belt to easily install the car seat.
A: Lower anchors may be in different spots in different vehicles. Some are sticking out of the seat, and others may be deep within the crease. Your mint latch™ may have a gap at the foot of the seat, and based on the location of the vehicle's lower anchors, the size of the gap may vary. The size of the gap does not affect how your seat will preform in a crash test. If visually you are uneasy about the gap, you can take a rolled up towel or blanket and put it between the vehicle seat and the foot of the car seat.
